About the Role
Join Thames Reach as a Support Worker at Snow Hill Court on a fixed term contract until 31/03/2026. Thames Reach is dedicated to ending homelessness in and around London by working directly with people on the streets and in hostels, preventing homelessness, and supporting formerly homeless individuals to rebuild their lives. Snow Hill Court is an Assessment Centre providing fast-paced, short stay services where people are referred from the street and rapidly moved to longer term accommodation. Staff provide wrap-around support and liaise with external partners including physical health, mental health, substance use, and housing services. The centre is staffed 24 hours to ensure quick turnaround and stable accommodation for clients.
As a Support Worker, you will conduct rapid risk and accommodation assessments, liaise with external agencies and councils to ensure clients receive comprehensive support, increase move-on and throughput in the centre, maintain a safe and healthy environment that reflects Thames Reach’s ethos, and foster a culture of high performance and continual improvement for yourself and the team. This role requires compassion, commitment, and the ability to work collaboratively to help people off the streets and into stable accommodation.
Experience
Whatever your experience of street homelessness and its impact on people’s lives – personal or professional – your understanding and compassion will be valued. Competency in supporting clients and engaging with a range of partners is essential.
