About the Role
Join AmcoGiffen as a Sustainability & Assurance Manager and lead a specialist team across the UK, focusing on environmental and social sustainability within high-impact rail, civil engineering, and infrastructure projects. You will shape and implement the company-wide Sustainability Strategy, provide expert guidance on environmental legislation and best practices, and integrate sustainability into project design and delivery. Your role includes leading investigations and reporting of environmental incidents, delivering training and development in sustainability, collaborating with clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders, and monitoring site visits and reporting quality across projects. You will champion regional initiatives and represent the business at key forums, driving the sustainability agenda across the South of England and Wales.

Experience
Proven experience in civil engineering, ideally within the rail sector. Demonstrated ability to lead sustainability initiatives and embed best practices across complex projects.

About you
Passionate about sustainability and assurance, with strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. You are proactive, knowledgeable about environmental legislation, and committed to driving positive change within infrastructure projects.

Qualifications
A relevant qualification such as a Degree, Diploma, HNC, or HND in Environmental or Sustainability disciplines. Chartered membership of IEMA or an equivalent professional body is required. Strong understanding of legal and contractual frameworks related to sustainability is essential.
