Estimated £32,000 per annum (salary offer will vary based on education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and market data)

About the Role
You will join a 2-year programme within JLL's Net Zero Design Consulting business line, specialising in the development, design and construction of Net Zero Carbon (NZC) buildings and property estates. This team provides strategic advice, design, construction, and post-construction monitoring and verification for NZC building solutions. As a formative member of this new business line, you will contribute to shaping the future of NZC buildings, supporting the UK government's ambitious target to achieve full NZC by 2050. This role offers the opportunity to engage directly with a market that will dominate the construction industry for decades.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include reviewing existing buildings through site surveys, as-built information, energy bills and research to quantify key energy performance factors; training in IES(VE) dynamic thermal modelling and OneClickLCA whole life carbon assessments; assisting with detailed thermal models to define engineering and architectural requirements for NZC; understanding building engineering and fabric factors to determine efficient NZC designs; preparing NZC briefs, feasibility studies, drawings and specifications; supporting broader sustainability deliverables such as project guides and assessments including social impact and health & wellbeing; liaising with clients to discuss NZC design solutions; and researching latest industry best practices, policies and consultations from organisations such as UKGBC and LETI.

What you'll get from us
JLL is committed to creating an inclusive environment where you feel welcomed, valued and empowered. You will receive support from the Early Careers team, your manager and a peer buddy. Training opportunities will help you develop skills in stakeholder management, client engagement, report and pitch writing. Dress code is flexible depending on your daily activities. Benefits include a competitive salary as an accredited Living Wage employer, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, 2 paid volunteer days annually, and a wide range of employee benefits such as well-being support, pension, private medical and dental insurance, employee assistance programme, season ticket loan, cycle-to-work scheme, and mortgage advice.
