About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sustainability Manager to join our responsible business team and deliver onsite environmental services for Mace's construction division. You will primarily support aviation projects at Heathrow and Gatwick, working closely with project teams from early involvement through to delivery.
Your role will include delivering the sustainability strategy and programme across the business unit, addressing client and Mace sustainability ambitions, and embedding carbon and circularity savings. You will ensure environmental compliance aligned with ISO 14001, engage with supply chains to deliver sustainable outcomes, and provide training to upskill project teams.
You will also contribute to wider corporate ambitions to reduce client carbon emissions by 10 million tonnes by 2026 and deliver £1.3bn of value to society by 2030. This role involves managing data quality, reporting requirements, attending client and project meetings, and producing case studies to communicate best practice.

Experience
- Proven track record of sustainability work for over 4 years.
- Understanding and experience of whole life carbon assessment.
- Experience developing and/or implementing environmental management systems on projects.
- Knowledge of construction industry practices.
- Understanding and experience with green certification schemes such as BREEAM.
