About the Role
Computacenter is seeking an experienced Test Environment Manager to join our Test & Validation Management team supporting major customers across the UK. This permanent role requires you to be onsite full time and ideally already hold Security Clearance or be able to obtain it. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimisation of test environments to ensure they are readily available, correctly configured, and support all testing activities across projects. Working closely with development, test teams, and project stakeholders, you will help guarantee the quality of product releases by providing stable and reliable testing environments.

Your role will involve collaborating with stakeholders to identify and provision necessary test environments, managing setup and configuration to replicate production environments where applicable, and implementing automation tools to streamline environment management. You will monitor environment health and performance, perform refreshes and updates, manage capacity and resource allocation, and troubleshoot issues promptly. Additionally, you will evaluate new technologies to improve environment efficiency, communicate environment status to relevant teams, provide technical guidance, and maintain documentation for standards and procedures.

This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organisation and problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work independently within an agile framework.

Experience
- Proven experience in test environment management or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of product development lifecycle and testing methodologies.
- Expertise in configuring and managing various operating systems, databases, and network environments.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or VMware for environment provisioning.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell or Python for automation.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and identify root causes effectively.
