About the Role
Cawood Scientific Limited is the largest independent provider of analytical laboratory testing and sampling services for the land-based industries in the UK, operating across 15 sites nationwide. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business where hard work, enthusiasm, and teamwork are valued. As a Trainee Environmental Technician, you will conduct routine environmental monitoring across Water, Construction, and Compliance service areas in line with company protocols, quality assurance standards, and client contract specifications. Your responsibilities will include routine checks and maintenance of environmental control systems and client infrastructure, providing a professional and reliable service to clients on-site, and building long-term positive relationships. You will represent Enitial in the field, maintaining a positive image by keeping equipment, vehicles, and PPE clean and well-maintained. You will work collaboratively within your region, supporting colleagues and contributing to team morale. Accurate data management and timely reporting to Data Analysts are essential, as is identifying opportunities to improve client sites and benefit the business commercially. Safety is paramount; you will proactively report accidents, near misses, and ensure compliance with the 'Stay Safe' remote working application. Additional duties include liaising with laboratories and couriers to ensure sample compliance, assisting with on-site training of new employees, and completing routine administrative tasks such as expenses and vehicle checks.
