About the Role
Fife Coast and Countryside Trust (FCCT) are seeking a Tree Planting Assistant to join our dynamic and effective Conservation and Engagement team. You will support community tree planting across Fife and contribute to the Fife Climate Forest outcomes. Working closely with the Community Tree Planting Officer and reporting to the Fife Climate Forest Community Engagement Manager, you will be part of the FCCT Conservation and Engagement team. The role involves collaboration with partner agencies including Fife Council, third sector organisations, community groups, and volunteers. We are looking for the successful applicant to start as soon as possible.
Experience
Practical experience in countryside or land management, including tree planting and tree care. Experience of supporting events in a community setting and working with a variety of groups. Experience of working with volunteers is desirable.

Organised and confident individual with the ability to work with a wide variety of people to achieve desired outcomes. Proactive and hard-working attitude with adaptability and motivation as a team worker. Strong organisational skills and confidence to take initiative as required. Good verbal communication skills with a friendly, approachable style. Strong interpersonal skills and confident administration abilities. Competent IT skills including Microsoft suite and online conferencing platforms. Ability to travel to and work independently from various locations throughout Fife.
Qualifications
Educated to SCQF level 6, which includes an HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject such as Countryside Management. Time-served experience in a relevant position will also be considered. A valid driving licence is required.
