About the Role
This Troubleperson role reports to the field staff supervisor within our network operations department. You will be responsible for the restoration of LV supplies on the UK Power Networks LV distribution system, carrying out jointing repairs on the HV and LV cable networks. After a period of appropriate training, you will be required to carry out the full range of Troubleperson activities including first line response and permanent fault repair work at voltages up to 33kV. The role is vital for the safe and timely restoration of LV & HV supplies, ensuring compliance with Customer Minutes Lost and Customer Interruption targets.

Principal Accountabilities
- Location of faults on the Distribution network
- Restoration of HV & LV supplies
- Testing and switching on the HV & LV network and understanding the results of the tests
- Supervision of excavating teams
- Understanding operational and 1:500 diagrams
- LV and HV jointing
- Use of appropriate IT equipment including TDR, LV Faults sniffer and FFE equipment
- Immediate supervision of a working party

Experience
- City and Guilds 2339, formally 232
- IOSH Managing Safety or willingness to undertake a course of study
- Streetworks qualification Units 1, 2, 3 and supervisor
