About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Web and Editorial Officer with excellent writing and editing skills and an audience-first approach to digital content. You will create compelling, digestible content for different platforms based on complex topics and edit copy from across the organisation. You will also play a key role in optimising existing work to fit evolving campaigns and SEO best practice. Joining a small team with big ambitions, a communicative and proactive approach is essential.

The Web and Editorial Officer is part of the Digital Content and Products team, responsible for the strategic development and optimisation of our digital platforms to ensure our websites resonate with our audiences and uphold our brand values and identity. You will work closely with a wide range of teams and campaigns across the organisation, including Income Generation, Marketing, and Policy teams.

Friends of the Earth is an international community dedicated to protecting the natural world and the wellbeing of everyone in it. We lead campaigns, provide resources and information, and drive real solutions to the environmental problems facing us all.

Requirements

Experience
Solid experience and understanding of web content design, user journeys, and use of a CMS in a professional environment. Demonstrable use of data and audience insight to create well-targeted, effective content is essential. Meticulous copywriting and editorial skills are required. Familiarity with SEO best practice and visual storytelling are desirable.
