About the Role
Greener Ealing Ltd (GEL) provides high-quality Waste Collection, Street Cleansing, Grounds Maintenance, Parking services and other environmental services for the London Borough of Ealing, its residents and other service users. Due to continued success, we have an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Technician to join our team. The role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues with vehicles, plant and machinery, preparing a range of vehicles to MOT standard including 3.5t to 26t HGV/RCV, carrying out necessary repairs and maintenance, maintaining accurate records of all repairs and servicing, and ensuring the workshop is kept to a high standard of cleanliness and safety.

Experience
Proven experience in vehicle and machinery maintenance and repair, ideally with HGVs and refuse collection vehicles. Experience preparing vehicles for MOT inspections is highly desirable.

Detail-oriented and methodical with strong diagnostic skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Committed to maintaining high standards of workshop safety and cleanliness. Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Qualifications
Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in vehicle maintenance and repair are preferred but not essential. A full UK driving licence is desirable.
