About the Role
We are supporting a leading resource recovery organisation to recruit a Yard Operative at its recycling site in Clover Nook, Alfreton. This is a practical, hands-on role helping to keep the recycling site operating safely and efficiently. You will load and unload vehicles, sort recyclable materials and work alongside colleagues to keep the yard organised and materials moving. The role also provides training opportunities to operate site plant vehicles, including a Loading Shovel. Overtime rate is available for additional hours worked.

Experience
Practical and hands-on approach to work is essential. Previous experience in a similar environment is beneficial but not required as full training will be provided.

About you
Willingness to learn and undertake training for site vehicles and machinery. Ability to follow safe systems of work, risk assessments and site procedures. Strong focus on safety and maintaining a clean and tidy work area. Good communication skills and a willingness to support the wider site team.

Qualifications
No formal qualifications are required for this role, but a positive attitude and commitment to safety and teamwork are essential.
