About the Role
The Youth and Education Intern will help develop and plan Stepney City Farm’s work experience programme for young people to engage in, learn about, and gain experience working with animals, food, and farming. You will support youth work projects and assist with the delivery of the Schools programme, contributing to expanding the Farm’s overall education offer from 5 to 6 days a week. The successful candidate will join the Jack Petchey Internship Programme alongside 18 other interns from various youth organisations across London and Essex. This development programme includes attending a residential launch conference, four professional development workshops throughout the year, and a celebration event at the end of the programme. You will receive an additional training bursary of £1,000 for approved training and be matched with a mentor from another organisation to support your professional development. The Jack Petchey Internship Programme training days and events will take place in person in London, and full participation alongside your role at Stepney City Farm is expected.

Experience
Previous experience working with young people, animals, or in education is desirable but not essential. Enthusiasm for youth work and education is key.
