We are recruiting for Year in Industry placements across multiple teams and locations including Civil (Maritime and Bridge Engineering), Geotech & Tunnelling, Energy Networks, Intelligent Infrastructure (Operations & Safety), Local Government, Development Planning, Rail (Advisory Services and Systems Engineering), and Water (Asset Consultancy, Asset Design, Catchment Science, Flood Risk Modelling, Flood Risk & EIA). Degrees considered vary by team and include Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Geotechnical, Chemical, Process Engineering, Human Centred Design, Human Factors, Ergonomics, Geography, Psychology, Environmental Sciences/Management, Geographic Information Systems, Water Management, River Environments, Flood Management, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, and Natural Hazards.

Scholarships at WSP
At the end of your placement, both students and hosting teams will share feedback. If the experience is positive and you are keen to return, WSP may offer a scholarship to support the remainder of your studies. Upon graduation, students who have successfully completed their placement and received strong feedback will be considered for a permanent graduate role, subject to availability. Successful students will then join WSP’s structured 2-year Graduate Development Programme.

Candidates must complete the application form in full, including all specific questions. Successful applicants will be invited to complete an online assessment consisting of a Cognitive Assessment, personality questionnaire and Situational Judgement Test (SJT). Requirements

Experience
No prior experience is required. Enthusiasm, curiosity and a willingness to learn are essential.

About you
You should be motivated, adaptable and enjoy working collaboratively in dynamic environments. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders are important. A passion for your chosen field of study and a commitment to making a positive impact are highly valued.

Applicants should be enrolled in relevant degree programmes as specified for each placement area, including but not limited to Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Chemical or Process Engineering, Human Centred Design, Human Factors, Ergonomics, Geography, Psychology, Environmental Sciences/Management, Geographic Information Systems, Water Management, River Environments, Flood Management, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science and Natural Hazards.
