About the Role
At Avove Utilities, we partner with Northern Power Grid (NPG) on essential infrastructure projects that power homes and businesses across the UK. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Arborist Team Leader to report directly to the Site Manager, overseeing and delivering Vegetation Management works on our Utility contracts for Northern Power Grid. You will liaise with Clients, Customers, and the wider Avove Team including Surveyors, Planners, Safety, and Commercial Managers.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include overseeing work programmes to ensure safe, compliant delivery with minimal risk, enforcing safe working practices and environmental standards, providing clear work specifications, method statements, and documentation to teams, ensuring field teams understand and follow safety and contract requirements, setting high performance standards and targets for all staff, carrying out audits and implementing improvements where needed, and delivering work on time and within budget.

Experience
Proven experience leading and coordinating daily tree care operations, managing tasks such as pruning, removals, planting, and tree health assessments. Experience supervising teams of arborists and subcontractors and liaising with clients.

About you
Strong leadership skills with the ability to set high standards for safety, efficiency, and quality. Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, management, and team members. Motivated, reliable, and committed to delivering work on time and within budget.

Qualifications
Relevant certifications such as Certificate III in Arboriculture, chainsaw ticket, and Elevated Work Platform (EWP) ticket are required.
