About the Role
Life Environmental Services Ltd, an independent National Environmental Consultancy established in 1995, is seeking two motivated individuals to join as Level 3 Asbestos Surveyor and Analyst Apprentices. You will earn a salary while studying towards a nationally recognised qualification through a structured training and development programme. The role involves supporting experienced teams on-site across various environments including homes, commercial properties, and industrial sites.

As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to obtain BOHS P402, P403, and P404 qualifications, becoming a certified Asbestos Analyst and Surveyor. Key responsibilities include:

Asbestos Analysis: Carrying out air quality and reassurance monitoring, fibre counting, four-stage clearance inspections, personal and compliance air testing, completing certificates and reports accurately, and assisting with asbestos removal project management.

Asbestos Surveying: Collecting and labelling bulk material samples safely, undertaking Management, Refurbishment, and Demolition Surveys, completing Priority Risk Assessments, working across domestic, commercial, and industrial properties, and ensuring sample handling and data uploading follow company procedures.

The apprenticeship offers a comprehensive package including 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, company van, equipment and PPE, pension, and regular training and CPD opportunities.

Requirements

Experience
Previous experience is beneficial but not essential. We value the right attitude and aptitude over formal experience.

About you
You must be accurate, diligent, and accountable with a methodical approach and strong attention to detail. You should be results-driven, able to think on your feet, and confident in making sound decisions. A genuine commitment to health and safety and willingness to learn asbestos industry standards is essential. The role is hands-on and fast-paced, ideal for someone who thrives in practical environments. Strong communication skills, reliability, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are required.

Due to the site-based nature of the role, you must be aged 20 or over, hold a clean UK driving licence, and be willing to travel daily to different sites. The role may involve occasional heavy lifting, working at heights, and in confined spaces.

Qualifications
Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are more important than formal qualifications. Applicants must not already hold a Level 3 qualification or higher in a closely related field, as this apprenticeship is designed for upskilling or reskilling. You must not be in full-time education, must have lived in the UK for at least 3 years, and have the right to work in the UK.
