About the Role
Atelier Ten is an innovative multidisciplinary firm of environmental design consultants, building services engineers, and lighting designers focused on delivering high-quality, award-winning building services and sustainable design within the built environment sector. Our London office has an immediate opening for a full-time Associate Director to join our integrated team of environmental designers.

In this senior role, you will support Atelier Ten’s continued success by delivering cutting-edge sustainability and environmental design consultancy across a wide range of building services engineering disciplines. As an Energy Analyst passionate about architecture and building science, you will provide expert environmental and sustainability advice on projects for internal teams, external collaborators, and clients. Your consultancy will cover sustainability, environmental design, building regulation compliance, thermal comfort, operational energy reduction, and the design and delivery of net zero carbon and net zero energy buildings.

You will use advanced analytical and computer science tools such as IES-VE, Rhino and Grasshopper, EnergyPlus, Open Studio, Design Builder, MS Excel, and bespoke python-based tools to deliver robust analytics. Your projects will range from regional master planning to detailed building design across global locations and diverse typologies.

With a strong understanding of building servicing systems and simulation skills, your work will inform optimal building services design and controls, often in collaboration with in-house engineers. Your clear and concise report writing and presentation skills will effectively communicate your advice.

As a senior management team member, you will lead and maintain energy and thermal analysis workstreams, provide specialist knowledge across projects, and ensure timely, accurate delivery of project information. You will act as the key contact for external collaborators and clients on your workstreams.

You will coordinate and mentor junior staff, establish standards and frameworks, and promote knowledge sharing locally and internationally. Supporting Technical Directors, you will manage resource planning, profitability, and technical capabilities of the energy specialists team.

We encourage your professional growth through participation in industry initiatives, implementation of best practices, and engagement with relevant institutions, advancing Atelier Ten’s position as a leading-edge consultancy in environmental design and building simulation.
