About the Role
At WSP, you will have the opportunity to work on landmark projects that reshape the landscape and skyline of London. As an Associate Director with a mechanical bias, you will produce high quality, industry-leading building designs on some of the most exciting projects in the UK. You will support and grow WSP’s net zero carbon strategy by delivering highly sustainable, low carbon buildings. This role involves working closely with clients, developers, contractors, and architects to build strong relationships and secure your position as the engineer of choice in the industry. You will supervise detailed designs and the work of others, fostering joint learning opportunities across the business. As the client’s key point of contact, you will contribute to the team’s day-to-day management, vision, values, and leadership, promoting team spirit and cooperation. You will also assist in developing client relationships to promote new commissions and share knowledge and technical skills with colleagues globally.

Your Team
You will be part of a close-knit Building Services team in London, consisting of over 160 mechanical, electrical, and public health engineers. Requirements

Experience
- Proven experience in mechanical, sustainable building design from concept to technical design stages.
- Detailed understanding of operational energy calculations (TM54 / NABERS) and their application in design decisions.
- Working knowledge of IES for allocation and direction of project work.
- Familiarity with Revit MEP or other 3D design software for project work allocation and direction.

Qualifications
- Chartered status through CIBSE, IET, IMechE Engineering Council preferred.
- Alternatively, an accredited honours degree or equivalent experience leading to Chartership.
- Open to candidates who may not meet all criteria but demonstrate relevant experience and potential.
