About the Role
As the Built Environment Asset Manager at Transport for London, you will act as the technical authority within APD Built Environment to ensure all assets are maintained to meet optimum availability, reliability, safety, operational and engineering standards. You will ensure that all assets and associated elements within your span of control are 'fit for purpose'. You will be accountable for mitigating asset risks on Built Environment assets to improve the customer experience by meeting Safety, Performance and Quality standards, supporting TfL's business targets, statutory and legal obligations, and contractual responsibilities.
Your key responsibilities will include acting as the technical authority on asset risk mitigations and implementing innovation for maintenance optimisation, managing the Safety Improvement Plan, ensuring compliance with LU Standards and governance, and preparing for annual audits. You will analyse and escalate items for the Local Risk Register and implement associated mitigations. Producing compelling business cases to secure funding, delivering the annual Corrective Workbank and Minor Works, and producing technical requirements for corrective works packages will also be part of your role.
Additionally, you will conduct technical reviews of work proposals to ensure compliance with industry best practice, legislation, and TfL standards.
