About the Role
Everyday Plastic is a charity that leads research and campaigns to unpick the complexity of the plastics crisis and its impacts on the climate and our society. Having co-founded The Big Plastic Count with Greenpeace UK, Everyday Plastic has received funding from The National Lottery Climate Action Fund to expand and advance the campaign. The Big Plastic Count is the UK’s largest investigation into household plastic waste, with nearly 500,000 participants since 2022. Our Campaign Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the successful delivery of activities and communications for both Everyday Plastic and The Big Plastic Count. This role involves creating an inclusive, community-led campaign with meaningful social impact, building relationships with external delivery partners and community advisory groups. Responsibilities include maintaining campaign timelines, coordinating content across various channels, tracking campaign metrics, and planning participant communications.
Experience
Experience in campaign coordination or administrative support, ideally within a nonprofit, environmental, or NGO.

A high degree of self-motivation, drive, resilience, and initiative. Excellent time management and organisational skills, with a good eye for detail. Ability to keep calm under pressure. Personal belief in and support for the aims and activities of The Big Plastic Count. Good emotional intelligence and desire to create an inclusive team culture. A willingness to adapt, be flexible, pitch in and be hands-on within our small and agile team. A proactive approach to work with the confidence to generate ideas and strategies. Creativity and the ability to think outside the box when it comes to campaign tactics. Composure under pressure and able to work to deadlines.
Qualifications
Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. Excellent attention to detail, particularly in managing schedules, budgets, and documentation. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft emails, reports, and campaign materials. Ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including community groups, funders, and advocacy partners. Experience in using different software including Google Workspace, project management tools, and marketing software. A commitment to environmental and social justice, ensuring that The Big Plastic Count is inclusive and community-led.
