About the Role
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. Join the nationally significant Hinkley Point C project, helping to secure the UK's low-carbon energy future by delivering reliable, affordable electricity to millions of homes for generations to come. As part of a world-class team, you will drive innovation, collaboration and excellence across every stage of delivery.
Working within the central controls teams as part of the planning discipline of project controls, and under the direction of the IPC planning manager, you will manage the level 2/4 (client) integrated work schedule (IWS) in adherence with HPC processes. This includes aligning level 3 (contract) schedules and providing time-related data and analysis to support informed decision-making and efficient delivery of work scope.
Your responsibilities will include supporting the IPC lead planner in implementing and maintaining project controls processes for planning, assisting senior project and programme managers with monthly reporting through intelligent information and analysis, and collaborating with other integrated project controls disciplines and project support functions to achieve project goals aligned with HPC principles of trust, transparency and teamwork.
You will produce and maintain the schedule baseline IWS in Primavera P6, ensuring fully logic-linked work plans aligned to work breakdown structures and approved construction techniques. You will update the level 2/4 IWS within agreed timeframes, assist in trend and change processes including project-level analysis, generate performance indicators, and provide feedback on risks and opportunities.
Additional duties include identifying and resolving time-related issues, coordinating and producing project-level schedule reports with commentary on key drivers and performance, adhering to project governance and scheduling standards, and ensuring all project documents, especially sensitive nuclear information, are correctly marked and protected according to EDF policies.
As a functional manager, you will ensure direct reports comply with governance and standards, promote continuous improvement by implementing best practices, facilitate collaboration with programme teams and industry partners for consistency and transparency, and safeguard corporate information confidentiality and integrity. You will also support recruitment for the discipline and act as a role model by exemplifying the HPC Project and EDF Energy values of humility, positivity, clarity, respect and solidarity.
