About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to join Possible as our Community Heat and Energy Project Manager. In this role, you will work closely with local communities and expert research partners to advance innovative local renewable energy projects that deliver clean heat solutions at three sites across England. Your work will focus on unblocking barriers to project delivery, including local energy supply and demand matching, to reduce emissions and energy poverty while empowering communities to take control of their energy and heat provision.
This is a 16-month contract role (4.5 days per week or nine-day fortnight), with no job share options. While we hope to extend the contract beyond this period, it is currently grant-funded and limited to 16 months. The role reports to the Head of Aviation, Heat and Energy and involves close collaboration with Possible’s Head of Communications, Digital Communications and Engagement Manager, Fundraising Manager, and key external partners including community energy groups.
Possible is a values-driven organisation committed to creating systemic climate action through personal and local initiatives. We foster a culture of daring, joy, and community, and are dedicated to anti-oppression and inclusivity in all aspects of our work.
Experience
Proven experience working with communities and delivering climate-related projects. Demonstrated ability to engage diverse groups and manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
About you
Passionate about climate solutions that improve lives and reduce emissions. Skilled at working collaboratively with communities and partners to overcome barriers and deliver impactful outcomes. Comfortable with travel and flexible working arrangements. Committed to Possible’s values of daring, joy, community, and anti-oppression.
Qualifications
Right to work in the UK for the duration of the contract is essential as we do not hold a sponsor licence. No specific formal qualifications are mandated, but relevant experience and a strong commitment to the role’s objectives are required.
