About the Role
Are you passionate about supporting communities to create lasting change? Friends of the Earth is looking for a Community Organiser to work alongside local communities, activists and our local action groups to build power, develop leadership and support community-led campaigns that achieve meaningful local change. This is an exciting opportunity to help strengthen grassroots organising locally, supporting people to come together around shared priorities and take action on the issues that matter most to them.
The England team is at the heart of grassroots organising at Friends of the Earth and is responsible for supporting nearly 200 Local Action Groups across England to build power and campaign for change.
We offer a competitive range of benefits, good work/life balance including a 4-day working week with no loss of pay, excellent learning and development opportunities and a vibrant organisational culture.
Friends of the Earth is an international community dedicated to protecting the natural world and the wellbeing of everyone in it. We lead campaigns, provide resources and information, and drive real solutions to the environmental problems facing us all.
