About the Role
Do you care deeply about nature, biodiversity, and the landscapes that make Rotherham unique? Are you ready to lead a team that protects and enhances our countryside for future generations? This is your chance to make a lasting impact as a Countryside and Ecology Manager. You will lead the operational management of Rotherham’s Countryside Team and ecological projects, taking responsibility for Thrybergh Country Park, one of the busiest and most popular destinations in the area. You will ensure the park remains a welcoming, safe, and vibrant space for visitors while overseeing the commercial aspects of the park café, balancing customer experience with financial sustainability. Champion biodiversity and sustainability across all green spaces, working closely with local communities, volunteers, and partners to deliver meaningful environmental improvements. Develop and inspire a dedicated team committed to protecting and enhancing Rotherham’s natural heritage. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will shape the future of our countryside and ecology service, ensuring habitats and wildlife are safeguarded and accessible for everyone to enjoy.
Experience
A strong background in countryside management, ecology, or conservation with proven leadership skills. Experience in managing teams, projects, and community engagement is essential.

Qualifications
