About the Role
As a Decarbonisation Analyst at Carnival Corporation, you will play a key role in supporting the Corporation's strategic and operational efforts to improve energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and advance sustainability across cruise operations. This position combines analytical rigour with technical insight to help cross-functional teams make informed decisions on fuel strategy, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Working in a fast-paced and evolving environment, you will contribute to the development of decarbonization initiatives through data analysis, modelling, and reporting, supporting technical subject matter experts and senior leadership in decision-making.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting quantitative analysis of fuel consumption, emissions profiles, and energy efficiency performance to develop internal and external GHG targets
- Developing reports and dashboards to track progress against targets
- Supporting internal and external reporting requirements, including sustainability disclosures and regulatory submissions
- Assisting subject matter experts with analysis and progress reporting of energy efficiency programs
- Performing cost-benefit analysis, scenario modelling, and other quantitative evaluations
- Coordinating with the Performance Engineering department on the development and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Preparing meeting materials, tracking action items, and contributing to group deliverables
- Creating documentation, presentations, and reports for internal stakeholders and external partners
- Facilitating information sharing across the Decarbonization Working Group and its subgroups
- Conducting one-time or exploratory analyses to answer emerging business and technical questions
- Investigating industry fuel consumption and providing competitor benchmarking insights
- Collecting and maintaining information on broader maritime fuels and technology markets

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a quantitatively minded individual to build technical expertise and gain broad exposure while working closely with engineers, subject matter experts, and senior stakeholders.

Requirements

Experience
Approximately two to five years’ experience within a technical, engineering, marine or related environment is preferred. Experience with fuel, emissions, energy efficiency, or technical performance is beneficial.

About you
You are a curious and inquisitive individual with strong analytical skills and quantitative aptitude. You can work effectively in an evolving environment where priorities may not always be fully defined. You have the ability to collaborate across functions and organisational levels and communicate technical or analytical findings clearly. You are organised, dependable, professional, and able to manage deadlines while developing within the role.

Qualifications
A strong academic background in naval architecture, marine engineering, economics, or another quantitative discipline is required. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel and at least one additional analytical or visualisation platform (e.g., Power BI, Python) is essential.
