You can embrace your curiosity in a culture that celebrates new ideas and diverse perspectives. You can experience a world of opportunity and the chance to shape a career as unique as you.

We are seeking a Design Safety Compliance Advisor to join our growing team, supporting the safe and successful delivery of major power, electricity transmission and distribution, low-carbon, renewable energy, and wider energy infrastructure projects across the UK. As part of a multidisciplinary project environment, you will provide specialist advice on Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015), Safety in Design (SiD), and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Working closely with designers, project managers, clients, and stakeholders, you will help identify, assess, and eliminate or reduce foreseeable health, safety, and operational risks through effective design risk management. The role involves facilitating design risk reviews and workshops, undertaking CDM compliance assessments, supporting hazard identification and mitigation, reviewing design information, and ensuring safety considerations are embedded throughout planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning phases.

You will play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards, and client requirements, while supporting the delivery of practical, innovative, and sustainable engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide CDM 2015 and Safety in Design guidance to project teams
- Facilitate design risk assessments, hazard workshops, and risk reviews
- Support designers in eliminating, reducing, and controlling risks at source
- Review and maintain hazard records and design risk registers
- Undertake CDM compliance audits, gap analyses, and assurance activities
- Assist in the development of Pre-Construction Information (PCI) and Health & Safety File requirements
- Engage with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to support effective risk management
- Promote best practice and continuous improvement in design safety and compliance
- Support major infrastructure projects across transmission, distribution, HVDC, substations, renewables, and low-carbon energy sectors

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to nationally significant infrastructure projects while helping shape safer, more sustainable outcomes for clients, communities, and future generations.
