About the Role
As Director of Cross River Partnership (CRP), you will lead a unique public-private partnership hosted by Westminster City Council. Working with central London local authorities, Business Improvement Districts, and strategic partners, you will deliver programmes that make a real difference to central London. You will set the vision for CRP’s future, shaping the annual Business Plan and Annual Report with partners and funders to ensure the partnership continues to respond to London’s evolving needs.
This role offers significant independence, scope, and influence, allowing you to bring ideas to life and help CRP continuously improve. You will lead the CRP Board, working closely with public and private sector Co-Chairs, setting agendas, briefing members, and ensuring meetings result in clear decisions. Supporting the Board’s working groups and overseeing the relationship with CRP’s charitable arm, Fairer, Safer, Greener, will also be key responsibilities.
Funding and resource management are central to this role. You will identify and secure finances to sustain CRP’s programmes, manage budgets tightly, and ensure value for money for partners and the council. You will lead CRP’s staff, associate consultants, and sub-contractors, fostering a culture of support, accountability, and clarity on impact. Your inclusive leadership style will maintain high standards, performance, and continuous improvement.
Partnership is at the heart of this role. You will build strong relationships across the council, CRP partners, government, BIDs, landowners, businesses, and wider London networks—championing collaborative delivery and influencing major decisions. Leading business development, fundraising, and communications, you will help CRP secure new opportunities, raise its profile, and deliver programmes that complement partners’ efforts.
You will ensure CRP operates transparently and compliantly, meeting council, procurement, contract, audit, and external funder requirements. Embedding equity, diversity, and inclusion into CRP’s work and culture is essential. This role suits someone who enjoys seeing the bigger picture, building trust, and delivering real economic and social impact.
