As an EHS Advisor, with minimum supervision, you will manage and coordinate all aspects of the location's environmental, health, and safety goals and objectives. You will provide expertise in the development, implementation, and management of effective Safety, Health, and Environment procedures and systems. This role involves routinely analysing hazardous situations, identifying alternative courses of action, and overseeing activities to ensure alignment with regulations, policies, and procedures.
Key responsibilities include leading and guiding all EHS initiatives at the location, prioritising implementation and results, maintaining and developing the site EHS plan, completing compliance assessments, problem-solving compliance issues, coordinating and providing EHS training, ensuring ongoing employee education, providing technical and operational recommendations to minimise risk, managing energy consumption and efficiency opportunities, supporting the Facilities team with safe practices, and managing health surveillance for the site.
Experience
Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar EHS role within a relevant environment. Proven experience working in a standalone capacity. Confident in managing stakeholders at all levels.
About you
Passionate and proactive in driving EHS initiatives and continuous improvement. A self-starter with strong prioritisation skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Good understanding of lean methodologies is desired.
Qualifications
Relevant EHS qualifications are required. A university degree in a related field would be an advantage. Due to the nature of the role, UK security clearance is required. Candidates must be British Nationals and Citizens, have resided in the UK for the last 5 years, and be capable of obtaining SC level security clearance.
