Energy Adviser


Location
Based at the CA1066 office in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex when not conducting visits or outreach. Flexible home-working is possible after training is completed.
Hours
30 to 37 hours per week. Permanent contract with flexible working hours available subject to discussion.
Salary
£27,189 - £28,728 depending on training and experience (pro-rata where required), rising to £28,728 on completion of training.
Annual Leave
23 days holiday entitlement in addition to bank holidays, increasing to 24 days after 3 years’ service and capped at 25 days after 4 years’ service. Pro-rata for part-time.
About the Role
Citizens Advice 1066 (CA1066) is recruiting a reliable Energy Adviser to provide essential support to local residents across Hastings, Rother, and surrounding areas. This role contributes to our charitable mission to relieve poverty and promote public health by delivering personalised energy advice through home visits and telephone consultations. You will assess clients’ living situations and property conditions, provide tailored energy advice, install small energy efficiency measures where appropriate, and set up smart meters and dataloggers to gather data on energy consumption, temperature, and humidity. Using this data, you will deliver highly personalised advice to help clients improve their energy usage. Maintaining accurate case records and prioritising client welfare through appropriate signposting and referrals are key aspects of this role. You will report to the Project Manager and Energy Service Supervisor.
Experience
Experience in delivering energy advice or working in a client-facing advisory role is desirable. Organised, focused, and dedicated to client welfare.

Qualifications
