About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Energy Efficiency Consultant to support commercial, industrial, and public sector clients in reducing energy consumption and achieving sustainability goals. You will lead energy audits, develop decarbonization strategies, and assist clients in transitioning to net-zero through innovative energy-saving technologies and renewable integration. This role offers a great opportunity to make a tangible impact in the sustainable energy sector while working with a dynamic team of environmental professionals.

Key responsibilities include conducting energy audits, site assessments, and carbon footprint analysis; identifying and recommending energy-saving measures and technology upgrades; preparing detailed energy efficiency reports including ROI, payback periods, and cost-benefit analysis; advising on compliance with UK energy legislation such as SECR, ESOS, and ISO 50001; collaborating with clients to create net-zero roadmaps and sustainability strategies; modelling building performance using tools like IES VE, DesignBuilder, or EnergyPlus; supporting the integration of renewable energy systems such as solar PV and heat pumps; and assisting with funding applications and incentive programs including SALIX and CIBSE.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience in energy efficiency technologies, HVAC systems, and building services
Familiarity with compliance frameworks including ESOS, SECR, TM44, and EPC
Experience in public sector projects and government reporting schemes is desirable
Project management skills and experience leading multi-site audits

About you
Excellent reporting and client communication skills
Strong understanding of carbon reporting, net-zero strategies, and sustainability metrics
Proficiency in energy modelling software such as IES, TAS, or similar

Qualifications
Degree in Energy Engineering, Environmental Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
CIBSE membership or working towards chartership is preferred
