About the Role

What you'll do:
- Be the driving force behind carbon reduction and net zero strategies across a major UK facilities management contract.
- Spearhead the development of pioneering energy solutions—from renewables and conservation to smart asset optimisation.
- Influence the future of EMCOR UK's Carbon Transformation services and help shape new products that redefine sustainability.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders and clients to turn bold environmental aspirations into measurable outcomes.
- Design and deliver tailored energy and sustainability strategies that exceed client expectations.
- Own the Carbon/Net Zero Transition Plan and Environmental Management Plan, setting the standard for industry best practice.
- Optimise building systems and energy performance through data-driven insights and advanced technologies.
- Guide capital investment planning with a sustainability-first mindset.
- Champion ISO 14001 & 50001 compliance and drive continuous improvement across the estate.
Experience
- Proven competence within the field of Energy Management in complex, asset-rich environments.
- Appropriate experience in energy markets, contract negotiations, renewable energy development and generation technologies.
- Technical expertise in implementing energy solutions.
- Experience developing and negotiating energy and sustainability partnerships with enterprise companies, and green funding options.
- Proven ability to evaluate new business models, policies, and agreements for energy, cleantech, or sustainability.
- Experience building relationships and working with industry stakeholders, such as utilities, global energy companies, and OEMs.
- Proven understanding of software/IT tools used in the energy industry and Cloud enablement.
- Ability to provide authoritative advice on energy management issues.
- Experience of informing businesses about energy management and sustainability good practice.
About you
Excellent speaking, listening, and writing skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to manage and prioritise multiple simultaneous projects with minimal direction.
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Building Services/Energy Engineering or demonstrably equivalent experience or qualifications.
