About the Role
We are seeking a strategic thinker who can also deliver on the ground. As a natural leader with a proven track record in delivering engagement activities, you will drive engagement with Durham Wildlife Trust across a wide range of opportunities including campaigning, advocacy, volunteering, and education. For over 50 years, Durham Wildlife Trust has inspired grassroots action for nature where people live and work. Our Strategy 2030 aims to increase meaningful action for nature by growing the number of people and organisations engaged in our work.
As Engagement Manager, you will lead the Trust’s engagement team, increasing the number of individuals, organisations, and groups who share our aims and deepening their involvement. You will develop and expand opportunities across community organising, volunteering, formal and informal education and training, health and wellbeing, corporate partnerships, campaigning, and public affairs.
This is a full-time, fixed-term role for an initial 2-year period, with continuation subject to funding.
Experience
Proven experience in delivering engagement activities and leading teams. Demonstrable success in driving engagement across diverse audiences and sectors including campaigning, volunteering, and education.
