About the Role
Syngenta Crop Protection is a global leader in agricultural innovation, dedicated to enabling farmers to grow healthy and nutritious food while caring for the planet. Join our Analytical Methods & Metabolism (AMM) team as an Environmental Fate Metabolism Study Manager, where you will apply your scientific expertise to elucidate the metabolic fate of active ingredients in the environment. You will work collaboratively with study managers and technical experts to support the registration of sustainable crop protection products, such as the recently registered TYMIRIUM® technology that protects crops against soil-borne pests.
Your key responsibilities will include ensuring the timely delivery of critical data generated at Contract Research Organisations (CROs), designing protocols, evaluating data, and reviewing and authorising company reports. You will extract insights from fate metabolism data and communicate expert conclusions to metabolism teams. Additionally, you will provide technical assistance and innovative solutions to external suppliers, develop expert knowledge of fate metabolism and relevant global regulatory guidance, and contribute scientific expertise to metabolism teams and other functional areas as needed.
The role is based at Jealott's Hill International Research Centre, a major global R&D site situated in pleasant semi-rural surroundings between Bracknell and Maidenhead, hosting approximately 800 Syngenta scientists and support staff. Experience
- Degree or equivalent in biology, chemistry, or a related discipline.
- Experience conducting or managing environmental fate metabolism studies to meet GLP standards.
- Familiarity with relevant Regulatory Test Guidelines.
- Proven ability to generate key insights from complex data sets.
- Active scientific collaboration with colleagues in industry, contract research, or regulatory agencies.
- Experience working with third-party organisations (CROs) is advantageous.
