The Roles (3 available)
Role 1 – Environment, Health & Safety Associate - Worthing
Degree requirements: Engineering related disciplines such as Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering or other relevant subjects.
Overview: Gain experience within a cross-functional team supporting safety, health, and environmental performance at a manufacturing site. Develop practical skills in risk management, safety improvement, sustainability initiatives, data analytics, and project delivery.
Role 2 – Environmental Health, Safety - Montrose
Degree requirements: Health & Safety, Environmental Science or related life sciences/engineering degree.
Overview: Support safety, health, and environmental compliance within manufacturing and laboratory operations. Gain exposure to risk management, incident investigation, auditing, training, environmental activities, and project delivery.
Role 3 – Environmental Health and Safety Support – Ware
Overview: Support the site EHS team responsible for safety of staff, contractors, and visitors. Develop skills in organizing site meetings, risk assessments, contractor safety programs, training improvements, data analysis, emergency response planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Application Process
Applicants must complete a Connectr activity to obtain a unique application code, followed by an eligibility form, digital assessment, possible technical assessment, and a virtual assessment centre or interview. Applications close on 13/10/2026 but may close earlier depending on candidate review.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years completed in an undergraduate degree but not graduated at the start of the placement. Practical experience is gained during the placement; no prior experience required.
About you
Enthusiastic and motivated to learn with an interest in environmental health, safety, and sustainability. Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and data analysis skills are desirable. Ability to work full time on site and engage with multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
Enrolled at a UK or Republic of Ireland university for the duration of the placement. Degree requirements vary by role:
- Worthing: Engineering related disciplines (Chemical, Industrial, Environmental Engineering or relevant)
- Montrose: Health & Safety, Environmental Science or related life sciences/engineering degree
- Ware: No specific degree requirement stated but relevant to EHS support.
Postgraduate students who have already graduated with a bachelor’s degree are not eligible.
Language Requirement
Written and spoken fluency in English is essential.
