About the Role
We have exciting and ambitious plans for our future. We aim to more than double the size of our food and beverage business by 2025 by investing in the development of our people, creating new food offers that appeal to our 26 million visitors each year, and improving the environments where we serve food. To support this growth, we are expanding our central food and beverage team, focusing on product development, procurement, marketing, operating standards, and environmental practice.
As an Environmental Manager / Environmental Practice Manager, you will drive continuous reduction of the environmental impact of the National Trust’s food and beverage operations by identifying best practices and implementing innovative initiatives. Working collaboratively with colleagues, you will develop and launch toolkits, guidance, and frameworks that support operations teams in improving their Conservation Performance Index and reducing energy consumption.
You will be based at Heelis, the National Trust’s Central Office, a highly sustainable building that has won multiple national awards. Heelis is home to approximately 700 staff from across the Trust’s directorates, including the Executive team and Director General, and fosters a sociable and supportive working environment known as the Heelis Community.
