About the Role
As Environmental Manager, you will support the Framework Head of HS&E on all environmental aspects, implementing the HS&E strategy and systems to ensure our operations meet exemplary environmental standards. You will drive improvement and consistency in performance, ensuring compliance with management systems and leading continual improvement initiatives. You will foster an inclusive and collaborative culture that supports HS&E behaviours and excellence, promote and lead behavioural culture programmes aligned with business values, and represent the HSE function in internal and external forums to share best practices and initiatives.

Your responsibilities include implementing and managing environmental systems in line with client and business requirements, providing environmental guidance throughout project lifecycles, conducting environmental inspections and audits (including ISO 14001), reviewing high-risk activities, delivering training, investigating incidents, and using KPIs to drive performance and continual improvement. You will contribute to unlocking gains in environmental performance and mitigating risks related to environmental issues. Additionally, you will investigate incidents and non-conformities, produce reports, and lead opportunities for improvement as appropriate.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience in environmental management across infrastructure, water, or regulated sectors. Skilled in project lifecycle delivery, training programmes, and data analytics/reporting systems. Competent in using IT tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerApps, PowerBi, Forms, and database systems such as ActivSHEQ and Sphera Cloud.

Excellent communicator able to engage across all levels and disciplines internally and externally. Thrives in complex, dynamic environments and builds strong collaborative relationships. Skilled in problem-solving, risk analysis, and implementing structured, effective solutions.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in environmental management or related fields are desirable but not explicitly stated. Commitment to continual professional development and adherence to industry standards is expected.
