About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to join our Transportation team in Gloucester. In this role, you will oversee complex environmental issues, ensuring compliance and championing sustainability throughout the project. You will provide expert guidance to project teams on all aspects of environmental management, ensuring full compliance with National Highways environmental requirements and commitments. You will play a key role in advancing Kier Transportation's Sustainability Strategy by driving initiatives, setting ambitious targets, and achieving milestones outlined in the A417 One Planet Action Plan (OPAP). Your responsibilities will include ensuring all environmental consents and permits are identified, in place, and conditions complied with; working proactively with project delivery teams to manage environmental issues; leading the implementation of the One Planet Action Plan on the project; and overseeing the production of a quarterly carbon footprint with monthly progress reports for the project and Kier management.

Experience
Considerable experience in a construction environmental management role is essential.

Qualifications
Environmental or Sustainability degree or equivalent.
Professional or full membership of an environmental or sustainability institute, such as ISEP, is required.
