About the Role
At EKFB we're shaping infrastructure for a better tomorrow. EKFB is a joint venture between Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial, and BAM, combining specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing, and maintenance of railway networks, including one of Europe's latest high speed rail projects. We are recruiting an Environmental Project Manager to join our North Chilterns to Aylesbury (NC2A) section of works. This role will be primarily based at the A41 compound just outside of Aylesbury, with regular travel to site compounds in the area. A full driving license is essential for this position.
You will be responsible for managing early warnings, technical queries, and general communications both upstream and downstream. This includes liaising with the client, designers, technical support consultants, and ecology/environmental subcontractors. You will coordinate Risk Reduction Meetings (RRMs) with technical support consultants and Ecology/Environment teams, representing the EKFB Environment Team within RRMs organised with the client.
Additional responsibilities include preparing expenditure forecasts for all Environmental and Ecological activities, coordinating regular meetings with the Commercial Team to review and manage actual costs against forecasts, and supporting the Commercial Team to ensure CEMAR is accurately maintained and up to date. You will manage Ecology and Environment Subcontractors in line with contractual obligations, including project managing subcontractors by writing and coordinating work scopes, organising construction documentation (e.g., Method Statements and Task Briefing Sheets), tracking contractual deliverables (e.g., submission of programmes on CEMAR), reviewing Applications for Payments, and managing programmes.
EKFB is proud to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. Our scope includes 15 viaducts, 5km of green tunnels, 22km of road diversions, 67 overbridges, and approximately 30 million cubic metres of excavation. We are committed to improving lives, communities, and the engineering and construction industry by providing sustained employment opportunities, protecting the environment, and being a good neighbour.
If you want to be part of a collaborative, enthusiastic, and forward-thinking culture, apply today. EKFB offers a competitive salary and benefits package and is committed to inclusiveness and equality of opportunity. We welcome applications from diverse backgrounds and abilities and strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone can be themselves.
