About the Role
Greenheart is a certified B Corp sustainability advisory practice with a strong market position, an exceptional client base, and a fully funded three-year growth plan. This is a pivotal opportunity to join as a Senior Consultant, bringing technical depth and commercial instincts to help shape and grow the environmental practice.
You will lead climate and environmental work for a portfolio of mid-sized clients, including GHG inventories (Scopes 1-3), science-based targets, climate transition plans, and nature-related assessments aligned to TNFD and SBTN. Acting as senior counsel to client sustainability leads and executive teams, you will translate complex technical standards into clear, actionable decisions.
Your advisory scope will cover environmental management, double materiality, and reporting frameworks such as CSRD, ISSB, and B Corp Environmental requirements. You will own the commercial performance of your client accounts, identifying additional client needs and confidently leading those conversations.
Additionally, you will coach the wider team to build environmental technical capability, fostering growth and reducing dependency as the practice expands.
This role offers genuine influence over the direction of a growing environmental practice, with clear potential to move into practice leadership as the team grows. Greenheart is a values-aligned workplace that lives its B Corp principles, embracing diversity as a source of resilience.
Experience
Demonstrable depth as a climate and environmental practitioner gained through complex, real-world work, either consulting multiple clients or leading in-house.
Technical specialism in at least three of the following areas: GHG accounting, science-based targets and transition planning, Environmental Impact Assessments, TNFD/LEAP nature-related assessments, B Corp Environmental requirements, or Environmental Management Systems.
Proven ability to manage account relationships, project budgets, and scope discussions confidently and commercially.
About you
A credible and commercially fluent presence with senior leaders, able to represent technical standards clearly and make sustainability legible to decision-makers.
Confident in leading client conversations and coaching team members to build capability.
Values diversity and inclusion, aligned with Greenheart’s B Corp principles.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in sustainability, environmental science, or related fields are expected but not explicitly stated.
Eligibility to work in the UK is required.
