About the Role
Cambridge Zero has an exciting opportunity available as part of our Communications and Engagement Team to help deliver over 20 different types of events, including roundtables, symposia, public engagement days, student-facing activities and more. All events aim to promote the work being done across the University to solve the climate crisis. In this role, you will be responsible for the successful management of all events across Cambridge Zero from conception through to execution and evaluation. You will ensure all event-related processes and practices are managed effectively, develop and improve internal systems and procedures, and strive for continuous improvements and increased efficiencies across our portfolio of events. Additionally, you will propose new events and engagement opportunities to further the impact of Cambridge Zero.
Cambridge Zero exists to maximise the University of Cambridge's contribution towards achieving a resilient and sustainable world by enabling, integrating and accelerating climate activities related to education, research and innovation. Working in a coordinating and supporting role across the full academic lifecycle, Cambridge Zero connects, convenes and engages the full breadth of the greater University community, including the University, Colleges and related institutions. Acting in close collaboration and partnership with a broad range of University functions, Cambridge Zero helps integrate, enhance and accelerate climate activities.

- Proven experience managing, planning and delivering events
- Experience utilising social media to aid event promotion
- Experience using design tools to produce event materials
