About the Role
Cambridge Zero has an exciting opportunity within our Communications and Engagement Team to manage and deliver over 20 different types of events. These include roundtables, symposia, public engagement days, student-facing activities, and more, all aimed at promoting the University of Cambridge’s work to solve the climate crisis. You will be responsible for the full event management lifecycle from conception through to execution and evaluation. This includes ensuring all event-related processes and practices are managed effectively, developing and improving internal systems and procedures, and striving for continuous improvements and increased efficiencies across our portfolio of events. You will also have the opportunity to propose new events and engagement activities. Cambridge Zero exists to maximise the University’s contribution towards achieving a resilient and sustainable world by enabling, integrating, and accelerating climate-related education, research, and innovation. We work collaboratively across the University community, including Colleges and related institutions, to connect, convene, and engage stakeholders in climate activities.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a health assessment once an offer of employment is accepted. Experience
- Proven experience managing, planning, and delivering events
- Experience utilising social media to support event promotion
- Experience using design tools to produce event materials

- Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in event management or communications are desirable but not essential
