About the Role
Cambridge Zero has an exciting opportunity within our Communications and Engagement Team for an Events Manager to deliver over 20 different types of events. These include roundtables, symposia, public engagement days, student-facing activities and more, all aimed at promoting the University of Cambridge's work to solve the climate crisis. You will be responsible for managing the full event lifecycle from conception through to execution and evaluation. This includes ensuring all event-related processes and practices are managed effectively, developing and improving internal systems and procedures, and driving continuous improvements and increased efficiencies across our portfolio of events. You will also have the opportunity to propose new events and engagement activities. Cambridge Zero exists to maximise the University’s contribution towards a resilient and sustainable world by enabling, integrating and accelerating climate-related education, research and innovation. Working closely with a broad range of University functions, you will help integrate, enhance and accelerate climate activities across the academic lifecycle.
Experience
- Proven experience managing, planning and delivering events
- Experience utilising social media to aid event promotion
- Experience using design tools to produce event materials
About you
We are looking for a proactive and organised individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for climate action. You should be able to work collaboratively across teams and demonstrate initiative in improving systems and proposing new ideas. Flexibility and adaptability are important as you will manage a diverse range of events and activities.
Qualifications
Specific qualifications are not detailed, but relevant experience in event management and communications is essential.
