About the Role
Engineering Services, part of Repairs and Investment, is seeking to recruit a competent Gas Fitter to join our existing team. This is a busy and demanding role involving a wide range of installation, breakdown, and servicing jobs across the Borough. You will be expected to complete between 8-12 jobs per day, including servicing and breakdowns. The role requires professionalism, efficiency, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The post is based at the Birchmere Centre, SE28 8BF. Uniform and all necessary personal protective equipment will be provided. A full UK manual driving licence with no DR10/DG10 disqualifications in the last 5 years is required as you will be driving a company vehicle. Knowledge of renewable energy is desirable due to the ongoing Green Energy programme. Further training will be provided as required by legislative changes.

Experience
Relevant City & Guilds qualifications and/or extensive relevant experience is essential. Experience working efficiently in a busy environment with a high volume of jobs is preferred.

You are a reliable and well-experienced tradesperson with excellent customer service skills. You are able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. You demonstrate enthusiasm and drive for the role and uphold high professional standards.

Qualifications
Essential qualifications include CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1. Unvented Hot Water Storage System (HWSS) qualification is preferred but not essential. Commercial qualifications are also preferred but not essential. Further training will be provided as needed.
