About the Role
Genesis, a global business unit of Technip Energies, provides impartial consulting services to clients in the energy industries, delivering high-impact solutions with a focus on sustainability. We are recruiting early career Environmental Engineers and Environmental Specialists to join our Environmental Team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment developing technical approaches to support a wide variety of projects related to the energy sector. You will be part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team including engineers, marine biologists, chemists, geologists, and GIS specialists, working on projects spanning traditional oil & gas as well as emerging sectors such as hydrogen, carbon capture and storage, and offshore wind.
You will support environmental assessments and studies for projects in the UK and overseas, covering onshore and offshore activities. Key areas include carbon management, energy efficiency, decarbonisation, new energy technologies, environmental impact assessment, permitting, compliance, and environmental modelling. You will collaborate closely with other discipline teams within Genesis to provide environmental technical inputs for public and private clients.
Responsibilities include executing environmental studies and assessments, characterising emissions and discharges, supporting reporting and compliance, contributing to HAZID/ENVID reviews, running and interpreting environmental models, assisting in report and proposal preparation, and client interaction to ensure delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
Experience
Early career level; awareness of environmental legislation and environmental impact assessment process is required. Experience or knowledge in GIS, environmental modelling, or software development (Python, Fortran, C, MatLab) is advantageous. Familiarity with sectors such as oil & gas, onshore/offshore wind, hydrogen, carbon capture and storage, and infrastructure projects is beneficial.
About you
You are a strong team player, well-motivated, able to work to tight deadlines, and have excellent written communication skills with attention to detail. You demonstrate innovative thinking and are computer literate, proficient in standard MS Office software. Flexibility for occasional travel within the UK and abroad, including client offices and offshore visits, is essential. You must have the right to work in the UK.
Qualifications
A degree in a relevant science, engineering, or environmental subject is required.
