As a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist, you will join our Tunnelling and Ground Engineering business, working on world-class projects that deliver practical, innovative, and sustainable solutions to complex ground-related challenges. Our UK and Ireland tunnel and ground engineering consultancy is a leading capability with around 400 staff dedicated to delivering excellence.
The Graduate Development Programme (GDP) is a structured two-year scheme designed to support your development through blended learning, mentoring, progress reviews, and networking. You will develop knowledge and competence across human skills, consulting skills, strategy, and your passions. The programme is tailored to your interests and career goals, with a strong focus on on-the-job learning and meaningful project experience.
As part of the team, you will contribute to diverse projects, such as using geological and geophysical data to characterise subsurface sites for nuclear waste and CO2 storage or defining ground conditions for major infrastructure developments. You will work alongside a skilled and diverse group of specialists, gaining broad responsibilities and career development opportunities. The start date for this position is September 2026.

Experience
Working towards a Masters level qualification in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related discipline.
Demonstrated enthusiasm and a proactive approach to driving your career forward.
Adaptable to change with a strong desire to learn and develop new skills.
Permanent right to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Masters level qualification in a relevant geoscience or engineering discipline such as Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Seismic Hazard and Earthquake Engineering, Geomorphology, Geohazard Risk Assessment, Geophysics, Structural Geology, or Hydrogeology.
