About the Role
As a Greenkeeper at Trump Turnberry, you will assist the Golf Courses Manager in the daily management, presentation, and maintenance of the golf courses, ensuring they are consistently maintained to the highest standards. You will lead, motivate, and develop associates through effective supervision, coaching, and performance feedback. Your responsibilities will include managing the safe storage, handling, and application of chemicals in line with legislation and company policy, supervising the use and maintenance of grass cutting machinery, and overseeing department and resort projects to ensure quality standards are met.

You will support the planning and management of all playing surfaces to deliver exceptional course conditions, including construction, aeration, and turfing works. Maintaining high standards of customer care and adhering to Health & Safety, COSHH, Risk Assessment, and HAVS guidelines is essential. You will assist in producing department SOPs and training materials, organize daily work programs, and liaise with the Golf Operations team to ensure course set-up meets tournament, member, and guest requirements.

Additional duties include monitoring irrigation systems, identifying faults, coordinating repairs, managing stock levels of fertilisers, chemicals, seed, sand, and other consumables, and attending relevant training courses. A strong understanding of agronomy and turfgrass management fundamentals is required, along with a commitment to staying updated on new products, equipment, and technology. You will also contribute to the overall workflow of the department and support the resort’s high standards and policies.

Requirements

Experience
Good knowledge of golf and active playing experience. Experience in turfgrass management and maintenance is essential. BIGGA membership is desirable.

Self-motivated with a positive attitude and reliability. Flexible with working hours and a good team player with strong communication skills. Attention to detail and personal responsibility are important. Able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch, with manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment. Demonstrates a commitment to the company’s “Never Settle” ethos.

Qualifications
Driving license (essential). Literate and numerate with computer literacy. A good understanding of turfgrass management fundamentals and requirements is required. Ongoing training and development opportunities will be provided.
