About the Role
As the Head Gardener, you will oversee the maintenance and development of our stunning gardens, showcasing your expertise and creativity by designing and implementing beautiful landscapes that enhance the overall aesthetic of the retirement village. You will lead and manage a team of gardeners, ensuring the gardens are well-maintained and presentable at all times. Your role includes planning seasonal planting and landscaping projects, coordinating with other departments to support outdoor events, managing the garden budget, and maintaining inventory of gardening supplies. Additionally, you will provide guidance and support to residents who maintain their own gardens within the village, while ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

Experience
Proven experience as a Head Gardener or in a similar horticultural leadership role with strong knowledge of horticulture and landscaping techniques.

Strong leadership and managerial skills with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Passionate about gardening and creating beautiful outdoor spaces.
