About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Technical Solutions, the Head of Environmental will lead the Environmental Business with overall responsibility for operational, technical, and strategic aspects. You will execute strategic growth plans and lead with a people-centric approach focused on employee engagement, hiring, retaining, and developing top talent. Drive a culture of collaboration and accountability through strong communication, empowerment, reward, and coaching. Translate strategy into practical plans by partnering cross-functionally with peers to effect change. Deliver operational excellence and efficiencies to maintain and improve margins through your team. Identify product development opportunities, value propositions, and new markets to support growth strategy. Collaborate with Finance to develop draft budgets and take overall responsibility for financial performance. Foster a client-centric culture ensuring best-in-market service and quality delivery. Lead innovation initiatives including digital solutions and IT. Oversee succession planning and training requirements in partnership with Learning & Development.

Experience
- Proven leadership and people management experience with ability to motivate staff, set objectives, and achieve growth.
- Previous experience leading a specialist environmental consulting or loss adjusting business.
- Deep understanding of the insurance industry.
- Strong operational background with a track record in operations management.
- Proven commercial and financial management skills including driving gross profit contribution and achieving financial targets.
- Ability to interpret and analyse financial management reports.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with a client-first approach.
- Experience representing a brand to new and existing clients.
- Flexible approach with ability to travel throughout the UK as required.
