As a Health, Safety and Environmental Engineer reporting to the Health & Safety Team Leader, you will take a proactive, hands-on approach to improving safety, working conditions, and environmental performance. You will work closely with shop-floor teams and lead the implementation of practical action plans to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring compliance and validating safety documentation for work equipment
- Investigating workplace incidents and occupational health issues
- Designing and delivering engaging health and safety training
- Carrying out risk assessments and specific hazard analyses such as COSHH
- Conducting health and safety audits and site inspections
- Assisting in the accreditation of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
- Performing environmental assessments and coordinating improvement plans

Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Manufacturing Health & Safety with strong knowledge of equipment compliance and corrective actions.
About you
Highly organised and self-motivated individual with excellent communication and influencing skills. You are proactive and able to work closely with shop-floor teams to implement practical safety and environmental improvements.
Qualifications
IOSH qualification (or equivalent) in Health & Safety is desirable.
