As one of the main contractors for the construction of Hinkley Point C nuclear power plant, we oversee the design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of primary circuit components.

The Health Safety & Environmental Advisor will report to the Project Health Safety and Environmental Manager and play a key role in supporting site supervision, subcontractors, and the principal contractor on occupational health, safety, and environmental matters. Responsibilities include monitoring compliance with site safety rules and UK legislation, reviewing method statements and risk assessments, attending daily HSE meetings and team briefs, conducting workplace inspections, and investigating accidents or near misses.

This role requires strong communication skills, pragmatism, and the ability to find practical solutions to ensure safe working practices and behaviours on site.

Experience
A minimum of 5 to 10 years working as an Occupational Health Safety Advisor, preferably within construction or nuclear sectors.

Results driven and pragmatic with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work independently or as part of a team. Strong problem-solving abilities to implement safe working practices and behaviours. Proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
