Approx. £43,438 per annum (based on an average of 7 vehicle collections per day after training)

About the Role
We are recruiting HGV Drivers to join our team at Copart's Operation Centre in Peterlee. As a Car Transporter Driver, you will load, collect, and deliver accident-damaged vehicles, often requiring physical effort. This role offers a great work-life balance with no bank holiday work and no nights away from home.

Copart is a global leader in online vehicle remarketing and recycling, partnering with insurance companies, banks, and automotive businesses. Drivers are required to comply with legal and company standards, perform vehicle inspections, and report any issues.

No prior transporter experience is necessary as we provide 3 weeks of one-on-one training plus ongoing CPC training. If you hold a Category C licence, you can upskill to C+E after completing your probation period.

Experience
- HGV driving experience in both rural and urban environments
- Car transportation or recovery experience is advantageous but not essential

About you
- Hold a valid HGV Licence Class 1 or Class 2
- Current CPC qualification
- Good understanding of EC Drivers Hours and Working Time regulations using a tachograph
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Confident using handheld devices and basic IT applications
- Adaptable with the ability to organise and adjust your working day

Qualifications
- Valid HGV Licence Class 1 or Class 2
- Current CPC qualification
